I apologize for not giving an update sooner. I have been waiting for something worthwhile to post.
First, this Forum: If you live on 65th, 196th, 61st, 202nd or 59th and even 1 on 67th please sign up and participate. So far there are only 10 members. The advantage of being a member rather than a guest is you can expand the downloads and post. Especially if you think you are not included, get into the discussion and explain why.
As of this date I only have 14 commitments from owners to pay their obligation. A map is posted showing those who have committed. Two are not yet shown as their commitment was a little weak. If that’s you please let me know that it was a definite “yes” so the map can be corrected.
I have received requests to be sure that I contact the county for a few reasons.
First, to find out if slip-lining is acceptable.
Second, if not, what size pipe do we need to replace it.
Third, either way do we need a permit?
An on-site meeting has been set for next week with Amber Morrison, Drainage Engineer, with Snohomish County Surface Water Management and Carl Jorgensen, Property Manager, Snohomish County Facilities, Gordon Bailly from 61st and Tom Little from 196th (Me) will be there. If anyone from 65th would like to attend let me know. Being there does not represent a commitment that you believe you or your neighbors are obligated just an interested party.
Carl Jorgensen is responsible for setting up the meeting. He represents the county regarding property and Snohomish County is the owner of one of the lots on 59th. He is one of the weak commitments. I think he wants to investigate the situation first. Or he did commit I just didn’t understand.
Tarps have been placed in the area around the culvert. Barb Norwood donated the tarps. Mark Holland, once again, assisted with getting the tarps down. Hopefully the wind won’t get too wild before the project is completed.
I have heard reports that there are other people with bids/estimates. If so, let us know. This should be discussed in the thread “Written Proposals”.
As I’ve said before, I am not acting in any official capacity. I am only trying to facilitate a neighborhood discussion because Barb’s horse found a sinkhole in my yard.
